ROXBURGH Park take on East Keilor for a spot in the Grand Final on Saturday at Greenvale.

The Magpies cemented their minor premiership win last week with a comfortable 43-point win to Jacana. Luke Capuano kicked three goals to take his season tally out to 76 in a game where his side were not really challenged.

East Keilor gave up a 29-point lead in the final quarter last week and lost by two points against Moonee Valley. Their usual stars, Peter Tsavdaridis, Paris Grampsas and James Carey were on fire but they couldn’t stop the steam train-like Moonee Valley from stealing the victory.

These two sides had the best statistics out of all the sides in this year’s competition. They had the highest percentage and points-for statistics as well as the lowest points-against statistic. The two sides have also played each other three times with Roxburgh Park having a two-to-one advantage. This will surely be a cracking game where spectators will witness two offensive teams go all out in an awesome match.

Moonee Valley plays Keilor Park at Keilor on Sunday in the second match of the Strathmore Community Bank Division 2 Finals Series.

Moonee Valley pulled off a miraculous come-from-behind victory against East Keilor last week, winning by two points. James Moussa and Braden Padmore led their team to the famous victory which boosted their morale just at the right time.

Keilor Park only cemented their spot in the finals last week after an easy 122-point victory over Burnside Heights. Kirk Wintels kicked six majors and Shane Barry again made the top two for his side in a great afternoon for their side.

The Devils have been the success story of the year. Last season they only managed to win two games but this year they quintupled that. Moonee Valley also had a solid year, where they started out strongly. The Valley are two from three against the Devils and it can be argued that they, Moonee Valley, are in better form going into the match. Keilor Park have played with their heart on their sleeves this season and will definitely be looking to ruin the efficient Moonee Valley’s party.
