Rupertswood FNC Set To Join EDFL

EDFL Welcomes 36th Club

IT is with great anticipation that the EDFL welcomes the Rupertswood Football Netball Club as the League’s 36th Club.

AFL Victoria confirmed the outcome of its panel hearing granting Rupertswood FNC permission to transfer to the EDFL earlier today.

“We’d like to formally welcome Rupertswood as the EDFL’s 36th club,” League CEO Ian Kyte said.

“Rupertswood is a strong club comprising of senior football, junior football and netball teams and we very much look forward to seeing them compete across all of our competitions from Season 2021.”

The EDFL now boasts 30 fully-aligned Clubs and 36 Clubs overall following Rupertswood FNC’s admission.

Club president Brad Pietromonaco spoke of his excitement about the move.

“It is with much excitement that we join the EDFL commencing in the 2021 season,” Pietromonaco said.

“We thank the AFL Goldfields and the RDFNL for their understanding and co-operation in this matter.

“We wish the RDFNL every success in continuing to be a viable and successful League and also thank them for giving our club the chance to grow and develop while playing in the RDFNL.”

Further details about Rupertswood FNC’s admission into the EDFL will be finalised and communicated at a later date.
