WESTMEADOWS v CRAIGIEBURN

IN a round with a number of one-sided matches on paper, this looks to be the pick of the bunch.

Westmeadows has showed at times they can match it with the top sides, but just haven't been able to get over the line.

They are coming off the bye which was probably needed for the young group which has had a big start to the season.

The Eagles continue to show they are a team that will be in the mix for finals.

They easily accounted for Oak Park, with Dean Limbach again starring up forward.

Limbach kicked eight goals in the win and now has 31 goals for the season - the best in the division.

The Eagles should put another win on the board, but the Tigers’ young list is capable of causing an upset.

HILLSIDE v EAST KEILOR

Hillside is looking to return to the winners list after two successive losses.

Hampered by injuries, the Sharks have lost to the top two sides in successive weeks, showing where they currently sit in the scheme of things.

Mitch Church has started to settle for the Sharks up forward, with two bags of fives in the last three rounds.

The Sharks though should be too good for the Cougars, who are struggling on-field with some injuries of their own.

Throw in some off-field dramas and things aren’t great down there at ‘Cougarland’.

With only a win against Jacana, the Cougars need to start getting the wins on the board fast if they are to have any chance of staying in touch with the top four.

They need to claim a couple of scalps and an undermanned Sharks side would be a perfect one.

TULLAMARINE v JACANA

Tullamarine continued on its merry way with a fifth straight win.

The biggest thing for the Demons this season has been the side’s ability to rise to another level when they have needed to.

Against East Keilor, the Demons had to come from behind at half time on their way to a 50-point lead.

They’ve got plenty of talent, the next step is putting it together for four quarters.

Brad Allen is starring up forward, having kicked five goals for the third straight round.

After positive signs against East Keilor, the Jaguars struggled against Taylors Lakes, not winning a quarter.

The result was disappointing after looking to take a step forward.

This could quite easily be a very big win to the Demons if the Jaguars turn up and play the same football as last week.

OAK PARK v AIRPORT WEST

The challenges continue to come for Oak Park in its hunt for a win, and they don’t come much bigger than Airport West.

The two sides sit at opposite ends of the ladder, with completely different form lines.

The Kangaroos were yet again no match for one of the top sides and look set to have a second straight year without playing finals.

The Eagles on the other hand put in a strong performance accounting for an undermanned Hillside.

For the Eagles, Tyson Young continues to dominate, kicking eight goals in a best-on-ground performance.

He currently sits second on the goal-kicking table and with the form he’s showing, he could quite easily add to his Hutchison Medal from last year.

If the season so far is anything to go by, the Eagles should have a big win.
