AVONDALE Heights has announced on its Facebook page the departure of Senior Coach, Rick Horwood.
According to a media release published on Friday morning, club president Ted Hatzakortzian said “the club and Rick reached a mutual agreement that it was best for both parties to part ways due to having a difference of opinion on the direction of the club”.
Horwood was signed following the 2016 season and after his only six games as coach of the club, Avondale Heights has a 1-5 record after beating Craigieburn in Round 1.
Senior assistant coach Mario Bandera and Reserves coach Maurice Iulianella will be interim Senior Coaches and the club expects to announce a replacement coach in coming weeks.
