EAST Keilor and Strathmore Football Clubs will undergo facility upgrades, thanks to the generous provision of a grant by the Moonee Valley Council.
Initially, East Keilor’s grant was priced at $1.9 million, but was increased by the Moonee Valley Council.
The grant total now sits at $3 million, giving the club every opportunity to deliver a state-of-the-art facility for members of the EDFL community.
The pavilion is expected to bring in new members, new sponsorship deals for the club, and updated facilities that will generate interest from the players.
“There’s a lot of work being done by the football club to get the facility up and running,” said East Keilor President, Geoff Nicholl.
“I think the facility will provide enormous benefits for the players and it will promote growth of the area.”
Construction of the pavilion is due to start towards the end of the year, and is sure to enhance the East Keilor community vibe.
Thanks to the Moonee Valley Council, Strathmore can now upgrade their facility and continue to grow their club here in the EDFL.
The Council has contributed funds to the Strathmore Football Club, who will use this money to construct a new facility for their members.
There will be a new pavilion built at Lebanon Reserve that is sure to reap the same benefits as the one in East Keilor.
The new Strathmore pavilion will replace the current one, and is sure to bring more community members into the club.
Strathmore will hope to secure new sponsorship deals and of course, heighten their sense of community over at Lebanon Reserve through the new facility.
The provision of these grants for Strathmore and East Keilor’s new facilities highlights how invested the Moonee Valley Council is in its community.
