League Farewells Steph Zerowsky

Footy Ops Officer Headed West

THIS week has marked Steph Zerowsky’s farewell to the EDFL after six seasons as part of our Football Operations Department.

Steph came on board in 2011 – back when the EDFL was still based at Marshall Road in Airport West, and has now taken up a new role with the Western Region Football League.

Chief Executive Officer Marc Turri paid tribute to Steph’s contribution to the EDFL.

“Steph has been a valuable member of the EDFL team since arriving in 2011,” Turri said.

“She immediately developed a strong rapport with the clubs and has been integral to the growth of the competition, which has included the addition of the Under 8 and Senior Thirds competitions and the implementation and growth of Junior Girls football.

“Behind the scenes, Steph was integral in the smooth operations of the EDFL. She will be sorely missed by everyone within the EDFL family.”

Football Operations Manager Stuart Balloch said he’s been very grateful to work alongside Steph since joining the EDFL in April.

“Steph has put in a phenomenal effort, and her guidance was fantastic for me coming in,” Balloch said.

“She’s put tireless work into the coordination of our competitions. From the formation of the fixture through to finals organisation, she’s been across it and her efforts have been immense.”

We wish Steph all the best with the WRFL from 2017 onward.
