FORMER Essendon Doutta Stars and Heidelberg midfielder Luke Hodgkin has won Taylors Lakes' best-and-fairest award for 2017.
Hodgkin, in his first year at Lionheart, proved to be one of the more handy recruits in Essendon Ford Division 1, carving out an impressive 2017 season.
The 27-year-old missed only one game for the Lions and kicked eight goals to go with his eight listings among their best players during the year.
Club stalwart Matt Morelli was runner-up, finishing five votes behind Hodgkin.
