EDFL Media has been recognised across five categories for this year’s AFL Victoria Community Football Media Awards.
Included among the nominees is official EDFL match day photographer, Jamie Morey, who has been shortlisted in both community photography categories – ‘action’ and ‘character’ (nominated photos above).
Jamie Morey Photography came on board full-time as the EDFL’s official match day photography supplier in 2017.
Meanwhile EDFL Tonight is up again for ‘Best Radio Football Show’.
Broadcast each Wednesday on 98.9 North West FM during the season, EDFL Tonight enjoyed a successful second season on the air.
This year the show was expanded from two hosts to five, with Adam Russell, Adam Papal and Julia Montesano joining Adem Saricaoglu and Adrian Jamieson in-studio.
The show enjoyed a strong increase in podcast numbers in 2017.
Our new video series, EDFL 2017, has been nominated for ‘Best Use of Online Media – TV Show’.
Hosted by Julia Montesano, EDFL 2017 replaced EDFL Web TV as the league’s weekly video show and was a huge success on YouTube and Social Media.
Finally, the EDFL SoundCloud Channel (EDFL Podcasts) has been nominated for ‘Best Use of Online Media – Technology’.
This nomination incorporates all EDFL Tonight podcast content, including our out-of-season ‘2016 November Transfers’ show and the 27 Days of EDFL Previews series, hosted by Adem Saricaoglu and Adrian Jamieson back in March.
Winners will be announced on Friday December 8 at IKON Park.
