JOE Brown Oval will play host to the EDFL Women’s season-opener next Friday night.
Keilor is set to take on fellow 2018 finalist, Sunbury Kangaroos, under lights on Friday, April 5th in the newly-formed EDFL Women’s - Premier competition, with seven more games kicking off the following day on April 6th.
EDFL Women’s - Division 1 will welcome six new clubs into senior women’s competition, with Coburg Districts, Essendon Doutta Stars, Greenvale, Maribyrnong Park, Moonee Valley and Tullamarine all set to field their inaugural teams on April 6th and 7th.
Avondale Heights will also be fielding its first standalone team after competing in last year’s competition as a combined team with Taylors Lakes.
Across both divisions, there will be four Friday night EDFL Women’s games in Round 2, with games fixtured to be played at Boeing Reserve, Clifton Park, Hillside Reserve and Canning Reserve on April 12th.
Fixtures for the remaining 12 rounds of EDFL Women’s will be confirmed and released in due course, in conjunction with Under 19s, Thirds and Juniors fixtures.
