EDFL Confirms Salary Cap & Division Structures For 2019

Final Figures & Division Structures Revealed

THE EDFL has this afternoon informed all Clubs of the finalised salary cap figures and senior divisional structure for Season 2019.

See the League’s full statement below.

Player Payment Rule - Allowable Player Payments, Season 2019

Our intention with the Allowable Player Payments (APP) system is to present high quality football while allowing our clubs to build sustainable operating models.

The APP limits for Season 2019 will be as following:

Strathmore Community Bank Premier Division - $220,000

Essendon Ford Division 1 - $190,000

Strathmore Community Bank Division 2 - $145,000

The APP for 2020 and beyond will be determined following further analysis and evaluation.

Being a relatively new process for the EDFL competition, we want to ensure we fully understand the impacts of the APP, and player points, before confirming future limits.

Divisional Structures for Season 2019

While team entries will not be finalised until later in the year, we want to provide initial direction that our intention is that Strathmore Community Bank Premier Division will be a 10-team competition in 2019, and Essendon Ford Division 1 will be a 9-team competition in 2019.

The number of teams in Strathmore Community Bank Division 2 will be finalised once team entries have been confirmed.
