THE flavour of multiculturalism is in the air at the Roxburgh Park Football Club.

The club is on a mission to celebrate the cultural diversity of its players and home suburb.

Last week several Lebanese players cooked traditional food for a fundraising club event.

Reserves team member Mouhamed “Moe” El Sheikh said he and other players prepared 120 halal meals for the occasion, including lamb skewers and chicken wings.

Mr El Sheikh thanked Tiba’s Restaurant in Roxburgh Park for donating tabouli for the dinner.
