Coach Arrowsmith Collects Cougars B&F Prize

Club-by-Club B&F Results

FIRST-YEAR playing coach Ash Arrowsmith has capped off an outstanding year by claiming East Keilor's best-and-fairest.

Arrowsmith left Strathmore to join friend and fellow former East Keilor junior Nick Grigg as co-playing coaches after David Battistella stepped down from the role following the club's 2016 Strathmore Community Bank Division 2 Grand Final triumph.

While Grigg patrolled things up forward and kicked 48 goals for the year (second-best in Essendon Ford Division 1), Arrowsmith dominated across half back and through the midfield, eventually being the selected as the only Cougar in the Essendon Ford Division 1 Team of the Year.

In the end Arrowsmith polled only two votes more than Ethan Langwell, while last year's grand final BOG Vincent Madaffari finished third on 51 votes.
