SEVIL Francis is determined to prove a women’s role at a football club isn’t just running the canteen or washing dirty jumpers.
The mother-of-two has just made history by becoming Avondale Heights Football Club’s first female president in its 50-year existence.
“It’s surreal to think that I am the president of the football club,” Ms Francis said.
“It’s (because of) the love for Avondale and Avondale Heights as a community, I wanted to give back to it.”
