2020 Season Preview Series - Tullamarine

#EDFL2020

2019 RECAP

It was yet another impressive year for Tullamarine, with percentage the only factor keeping the 12-4 Demons out of the top two by home-and-away season's end.

The Demons shot themselves in the foot in their final home-and-away game of the year, giving up a top two berth by going down to Hillside after a poor start to their Round 18 clash.

Tullamarine recovered from the Round 18 loss to defeat Westmeadows in the knock-out semi and made a good fist of getting back to Windy Hill again for the 2019 decider, but fell just 10 points short of East Keilor in a tense Preliminary Final at Coburg City Oval.

EDFL MEDIA SAYS

Tullamarine is a club that deserves its shot at Strathmore Community Bank Premier Division, but hasn't yet mastered the art of getting there.

The Demons enjoyed a fruitful summer of recruiting, headlined by the arrivals of Deer Park premiership hero Shannon Broadbent and key defender Kadan King-Davies, but they'll also be boosted by the return of quality midfielder Steven Vocale and a fresh influx untried, but promising youngsters from their Under 18.5 system.

With leg speed a major focus in its recruiting strategy and a fairly stable line-up at its disposal, there's no reason why Tullamarine won't again be among the premiership contenders in Season 2020.
