2020 Season Preview Series - Moonee Valley

#EDFL2020

2019 RECAP

Moonee Valley secured a double chance with a 10-5 home-and-away record despite dropping its opening two games of the season.

After toppling Jacana in Round 4, the Fog only lost three more games before the finals, two of which were against undefeated eventual premier, Sunbury Kangaroos.

The Valley dominated Burnside Heights in the Preliminary Final to qualify for its first Grand Final since 2013, where despite a brave effort, the Fog were eventually outclassed by the Kangaroos to the tune of just 16 points.

EDFL MEDIA SAYS

Moonee Valley is undoubtedly the Strathmore Community Bank Division 2 premiership favourite going into Season 2020.

All but one of last year's grand final 22 is locked in for the new season, while some quality key recruits in forwards Sam O'Brien, Michael Lobb and defender James McLuckie are likely to be among several new faces we'll see in the Fog's line-up this year.

If the Fog can avoid any early or mid-season lapses, as its been prone to do in recent years, then expect Shanon Carroll's men to set the tone for the 2020 Division 2 season.
