PASCOE VALE v BURNSIDE HEIGHTS - Radio Game

Sunday 3pm @ Windy Hill

LAST time these two teams met, the margin was only 13 points.

This is the one of the closest games that Pascoe Vale have been involved in all season, proving that the Bears are up to the challenge in what will be a marvellous game at Windy Hill.

Burnside Heights has experienced some challenges this finals series though, winning both games by a combined margin of six points.

Meanwhile, Pascoe Vale has won both of its games by a combined margin of 104 points, highlighting the Panthers’ forward line depth.

Not only has Siobhan Carlton lit it up inside 50 this year, she has been complemented by majors throughout the year from players like Sarah Theuma and Elana Lilla.

The trio have been aided by wonderful delivery from the midfield brigade with Emily Bof, Aimee Whelan and Bridgette Aparo all using the ball with class throughout the season.

Aparo in particular will be a key player in this match, as she was a standout last time these two teams met and has been a class above all season.

Her opposing skipper, Kayla Ravanello has also been impressive this season, kicking 37 goals from 14 games.

Ravanello can also make an impact higher up the ground, not just playing as a deep forward, which could be a scary prospect for the likes of Cara Matsa and Rebecca Foggie in the Panthers’ back line.

Like Carlton, Ravanello too has some excellent contributors by her side inside 50 with Maria Afuhaamango and Maddison Cooper getting among the goals throughout the season.

Afuhaamango’s dash inside 50 will be something to keep an eye out for the Panthers, as she was instrumental up forward for the Bears last week.

Another player to watch out for will be Krissy Trang, whose dash across the field is simply electrifying and can break the lines open.

With key players left, right and centre in this game, we are set for a grandstand finish to what has been a magnificent inaugural season of EDFL Women’s.
